These are the times where I kick myself in the ass for taking an unpaid internship... Tonight in Midtown Manhattan, Beacon is hosting its annual Chowder Fest 6:30pm. For $95, you get unlimited servings of chowder, grilled lobster, and fried chicken, as well as Brooklyn Brewery pilsner and vodka pink lemonade. [NYMag]. It's not like I can ask my dad, "Hey Dad! Can I get $100 bucks to get drunk off my ass on pink lemonade vodka and eat unlimited amounts of fried chicken?" Pretty sure that won't go over well. All I know is chowder + lobster + fried chicken + alcohol = a dream come true. Thank you Beacon, thank you.
