Farmers Market

Let me start off by saying, how freakin' cute is that star crust?? Anyway, I got this peach/raspberry baby pie the other day at the Boulder Farmers Market . As my friend Diane and I crept by the pie stand, we couldn't help but stop and drool over the selection of mini pies. They had everything from apple, to strawberry rhubarb, to raspberry linzer torte. We dug into our pies and devoured them in .5 seconds. In addition to these delicious pies, we also got dumplings. Specifically a mix of chicken and vegetable (and they were damn good!) I highly suggest going to the Farmers Market. It is every Wednesday and Saturday. I plan on going back this weekend.... see you there!

Starin' the Bucks

While my afternoon finals snack was the caramel apple pops, my early morning finals meal consisted of a Starbuck's grande coffee with a shot of espresso and their oatmeal with the brown sugar topping. Their oatmeal was a nice hearty mix of salty grains and sweet sugar. One recommendation: add a little milk to it. It seemed to be a very much on the dry side. While it seemed to do the trick for me at 8am in Norlin Library, I later tried Jamba Juice's oatmeal and may I say, Well Done Jamba!! There oatmeal was almost perfect and I seem to find myself craving it on random mornings. Thank god finals are over, now I can skip the Starbucks stop and sleep in.

Sweet & Sour

This past week was finals a.k.a living in the library (literally) a.k.a eating candy on the reggg. Finals candy of choice: Caramel Apple Pops. These lollies are green apple candy with chewy caramel. I personally like to call them heaven on a stick, but that's just me. The balance between the sour green apple and the sweet and chewy caramel is a combo worth trying. While my first experience with these specific lollies was in elementary school music class (side note: fuck extra credit! all teachers should give lollies instead). Anyways, back to what I was saying. While my first experience was about ten years ago, there are still a large number of people who have never picked one of these babies up. DO IT!
